Yesterday, VH1.com reported that 20 years after the release of “It’s Tricky” (the song was released 1986) Doug Fieger and Berton Averre, songwriters of The Knacks “My Sharona”, sued Run-DMC for not having had permission to sample “My Sharona” core riff for “It’s Tricky”.
DMCs first solo album “CHECKS, THUGS and ROCK ‘N ROLL” is in stores March 14th, 2006!
The 13 track album features Sarah McLachlan, Kid Rock, Doug E. Fresh, DJ Lethal, Jam Master Jay, and Gary Dourdan of CBS’ CSI.
